Overview

I am very interested in working for your organization and I would appreciate an interview for the position to discuss my qualifications and our mutual interest. I would like to offer my 40 years of experience in the Electric Utility Industry for a position in your organization. I have several years of experience as a GC Front Line Supervisor, lineman, and crew foreman with General Construction, Inspector with Canus, as well as my experience as a Distribution Specialist with ET&D Engineering, an Advanced and Basic Lineman Instructor at Kettleman training facility, a TSM&C Supervisor, and a Front Line Supervisor with General Construction throughout Central Valley and the Transmission and Distribution Contract Dept. Accreditations: CTT Certification as an Training Instructor, Instructor @ Kettleman Training Facility where I taught Basic and Advanced Lineman Class and Live Line Training including 230kv and 500kv Hot Projects. I have 40 years of experience in the electric industry throughout California. I have worked on the 500kv insulator change out from Milan Oregon to Button Willow, The 230kv Helms Project east of Fresno, Re-conductor projects on transmission lines that include the Bellota- Tesla 230kv project, Pittsburg- Antioch 115kv project, the USS Posco Steel 115kv Project, the Stagg- Rio Oso 115kv project and the 115kv Collector Line Project from Stockton to Tesla Substation. I have also installed fiber optic cable on wood pole structures from Lake Head above Shasta lake to Cottonwood California. My experience in Transmission and Distribution includes numerous pole replacement projects, re-conductor projects, and various equipment installations and inspections throughout PG&E service territory, Including supervising contractors as an Inspector throughout the PG&E Service Territory. I have attended several computer training classes that include Windows 2000, Word 2000, Word 2000 Intermediate, Power Point Basic 2003, Basic Excel 2000, and Working Smarter with Outlook and CTT+ training and Accreditation Certification. Several personal development classes that include Leading Change, Conflict Resolution, Business Writing, and Communicating for Results. 1978 – 1981 Pacific Gas and Electric Stockton, Calif. • Groundman, apprentice lineman 1981-1983 • Lineman Worked for the City of San Francisco Hetch Hetchy, Chancellor Electric and City of Santa Clara. These utility’s maintained several different voltages including 600v and 750v DC. I worked for these company’s and utilities while I was laid off with PG&E. 1983 – 2003 • General Construction Lineman, Sub foreman A. Worked on various line crews throughout the PG&E service territory, building and restoring electric distribution and transmission facilities. Supervised up to 6 bargaining unit employees in distribution and up to 20 bargaining unit employees on transmission projects. It was during this period that I spent 1 year as an Instructor at the Kettleman Training Facility. 2003-2006 • Distribution Specialist with Transmission Asset Management Engineering and Technical Support Organization Support for OM&C Compliance organization and OM&C Electric Distribution organization with O.H. & U.G. Construction, EDPM Training, and EDPM ride longs with QCR’s, Safety Assessments, CPUC audit support, RTVI Support, and Materials/Equipment Training. Also provided support to OM&C in processes and procedures rolled out by E&P. Supervisor on Rotation Stockton, Fresno, and Kern Supervised GC Organizations throughout the Central Valley, including the Stockton Division Area, Fresno East and West Area, and currently Bakersfield GC in Kern division. Each area had 4-8 GC crews and sub foreman, totaling 28 to 42 employees, and staff consisting of 2-4 FE/FET’s, First Field Clerks and Op clerks. Worked closely with these crews during routine daily operations including, Emergency response and Storm related Outages across the regions and PG&E Service Territory during the winter Storm Season. 2012- 2014 • G.C.
