Clearance Coordinator Job Description: Provide Electric Substation Clearance Planning for Contracts, Inspection Groups and TSM&C Construction. Attend Project & Clearance Meetings and Walk-Downs to determine Schedules, Required Clearances, and best Calendar Options. Prepare Clearance Sequence with Prints and Reviews with Sub-Foreman to ensure Safe Working Distances, determine Emergency Restore Times. Review Clearance Proposals with Transmission Engineer, Distribution Engineer, Test Department and Electric Operations for Outage Windows and any Special Operating Requirements that may alter the Clearance prior to Submitting Clearance Application. This ensures success when Clearance Applications are Submitted. Work with Planner to ensure Resources are available for Clearance Windows and not Conflicting with other Work. Notify All Control Centers of all New Equipment, Ratings, and Prints. Submit Clearances Applications, ensuring that all Required Parties are notified, i.e. Line Department, Test Department, Crew, Project Managers. Update Clearance Group Cal as required. This provides instant view of Calendar and Clearance Application. Attend Quarterly Transmission Operations Planner Meetings, updating progress of all Jobs. Providing this Service Enables Supervisors and Sub-Foremen more time in the field with their Crews. This Position provides a Single Point of contact for all Construction Clearances in a specific Area. Presently I provide Service to and have Regular Contact with: TSM&C Station Construction Supervisors, Business Planners, and Foremen. Contracts & Inspection Station Construction Inspectors and Foremen. Program Managers. Test Supervisors and Technicians. Grid Operations and District Engineers. Grid Control Center and Distribution Operators. Transmission Operations Planners. Major Account Representatives. Substation Maintenance Supervisors and Electricians. Protection Engineers. General Construction Transmission Line Department. General Construction Tower Department. Division Transmission Line Department. EPC Contractors, i.e. General Electric, Hot Line, TTR Substations, ABB, Dashiell, Black & Veatch, etc…….
